Pursue your interests

Nature lover? Enjoy fishing? Fell walking? Touring makes it easy!

Touring opens up a whole new world of freedom, because you write your itinerary, you decide what you take and when to go.

Close to nature

Bring the dog along

If you simply love the great outdoors, touring is the perfect way to get close to nature. Many caravan sites can be found in settings of great natural beauty, where the sounds of birdsong or the gentle babbling of a brook are the loudest noises you’ll hear.

Making it easy

Your favourite leisure pursuit, maybe fell walking in the Lake District, birdwatching in the Yorkshire Dales or canoeing in the Norfolk Broads, is so much easier with a caravan or motorhome.

Your passion

The beautiful Polesden Lacey

If your passion is exploring the country’s heritage you can enjoy staying at a caravan site in Shakespeare country or within striking distance of Avebury stone circle. You can even stay within the grounds of Sandringham in the Royal Estate if you wish!

Yes, touring really can make a difference to your life, by broadening your horizons and giving you total freedom to go where you choose.

Kit and caboodle

Go hiking and discover nature

Leisure activities are much more satisfying when you can take all the things you need. No more hard choices such as ‘I’ll have to take this, but I’ll manage without that.” That surfboard, the cagoules, the walking boots, fishing rods, artists’ painting kit, you can take it all with you.

Sites that offer courses

Some places give you the chance to learn a new skill, or practice existing ones. Take a relaxing painting or photography holiday at a site that offers suitable courses. Some even have their own coarse fishing lakes.

Sports and touring

Enjoy a game of golf

Golf, rock climbing, horse riding, cycling, swimming are all sports that complement touring holidays perfectly. Your home-from-home will be a welcome retreat after a strenuous day. You can luxuriate in the shower, then flop onto the bed, pleasantly exhausted.

Cycling

The Caravan Club has a close affiliation with Sustrans. More than half of all Caravan Club Sites are close to the UK's 12,000-mile National Cycle Network, many less than 5 miles from it. A bike is a great way to get around when on holiday ...so you get fit and help to save the planet at the same time!
